MOGCSP Sensitizes Journalists In Social Protection

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection through a sensitization workshop has trained and educated a group of journalists from the Journalist in Social Protection (JISOP) on the government social protection interventions.

The workshop was held in Kumasi, Ashanti region. About 40 journalists from the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Savannah, Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions were in attendance.

The workshop aimed to educate journalists and increase awareness and communication on social protection issues in the country.

Sensitization topics included the Social Protection Bill, the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP), the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) and the Ghana National Household Registry (GHNR).

Through the workshops, journalist shared their concerns on how best to increase awareness and enlighten the public on social protection.
